ReturnAlert Privacy Policy

ReturnAlert is a Chrome extension that tracks Amazon return windows so you never miss a deadline. This policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored.

What data we access

When you visit your Amazon Orders page (amazon.com/your-orders/orders), ReturnAlert reads the page content to extract:

• Product names from your orders
• Return eligibility dates ("Eligible through…")
• Amazon order IDs and product ASINs

How data is stored

All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. Your order information never leaves your browser and is never transmitted to any server, third party, or external service.

What we do not do

• We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data
• We do not use analytics or tracking of any kind
• We do not communicate with any external servers
• We do not access any Amazon account credentials or payment information

Permissions used

• storage — to save your return window data locally
• alarms — to check deadlines daily and update the badge count
• notifications — to alert you when a return window is closing soon
• host_permissions (amazon.com) — to read your orders page content

Deleting your data

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by clicking "Reset all" in the extension popup, or by uninstalling the extension from Chrome.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
